Why Buying Wholesale Baby Accessories is Better

When you are in the business of making money, efficiently cutting costs can help you meet your customer’s needs and make a substantial profit. Baby items can be very expensive for the business and the consumer. Finding ways to cut your product costs and give your customers a lower price can have many benefits for your company. Larger stores use wholesalers as a way to buy items at a lower cost in bulk. This gives them the opportunity to sell the items to customers at a desired price and still turn a decent if not very large profit. Buying wholesale baby accessories and other items can provide the same benefits to smaller businesses as well.

The largest benefit of buying wholesale baby items is lower costs. Small stores have to keep close watch on their profit margins and purchasing wholesale allows them to spend less on the products they keep in stock. Many businesses believe that only chain stores can buy wholesale but this is not true. Any business can buy these products and may have to meet minimum requirements such as buying a certain number of items. Individual customers cannot buy wholesale baby items because these suppliers do not sell their goods individually or in small quantities.

Another benefit of buying wholesale is being able to buy all or most of your merchandise from a single provider. This provides reduces the hassle of dealing with many merchandise providers and keeping track of shipments and receipts. Small businesses only have to keep track of single shipments and money going out to one product provider. Unlike larger businesses, these entrepreneurs do not have a large sales team or accounting department to deal with these items. Therefore the simpler everything is the easier it is on everyone who is part of the business.

They also give a business a better selection of merchandise to sell. Instead of having two baby towels, bibs, or other items to choose from, buying wholesale baby accessories gives a business the ability to choose among many variations of the same types of products. Different price ranges can also be purchased to give customers more of a choice on how much they want to spend. Being able to provide this option to customers makes a business more appealing to them.

Doing business with wholesalers allows business to negotiate lower costs. If a business has the intentions of being a regular buyer, wholesalers are more likely to offer the products at a lower price than what is stated. They do this because they are being guaranteed a constant flow of business and want to return the favor to their committed customers. The goods are delivered to the business for a small delivery fee. This prevents business owners from running to various stores or suppliers to collect their merchandise. A small business will not have to purchase their own delivery van or pay someone to pick up their products. These are just some of the benefits a small business has when buying wholesale baby items. Cutting costs in this way can make the difference between a successful and a struggling baby business.

Four Baby Accessories That Saved Our Sanity The First Year Of Parenthood

Ahhh, the first year of parenthood. All the new experiences, joys, frustrations and overall insanity that comes along with the most precious gift you will ever be given. As first time parents we not only get to experience these emotions, but also the confusion and exhilaration of finding out what accessories actually are worth their weight in gold to preserve your sanity during this first year.

First let me start off with some of my background. I am the proud mother of an adorable 11 month old girl who found herself immersed in a sea of baby accessories. Please also understand that my background in baby stuff is very limited. You probably recognize me. I was the women who didn’t have children while all of her friends did. The one who would smile noncommittally while being shown the latest batch of baby pictures and make the appropriate cooing noises all the while thinking about what to make for dinner that night or if the dry cleaning was ready to pick up. I was the one who stopped you in the baby store with a glazed look in my eye pointing at your child and asking you how old they are and what size to buy for a two year old. Yes, I am the one who always showed up last for the baby shower, didn’t win any of the prizes, gave the gift certificate and made the excuse to leave early. “Sorry, have to take the cat into the vet to get de-wormed”. Yes, I was that lady.” But here I am now, an expert in my own mind about what really works during the first year. So if you are looking for a chuckle and some sound advice on what to get, please read on.

The combination stroller/car seat. Not only does this item grow with your child which makes it financially wonderful, it is great to have when your kid has fallen asleep in the car and you would rather have a bikini wax than wake her up. Simply lift the seat carrier out of the car and transfer it to the crib. She sleeps on, you get a few minutes to put away the groceries before they melt.

The baby swing: This contraption was the second most valuable piece in our baby inventory. It was a papasan type chair that swung two ways. For the first six months of her life, our daughter slept in it. And I mean always. For naps, at night, when she was cranky and when we moved, we took this huge piece of furniture with us in the car so that she would have a place to sleep on the drive. Only when she got too big for the safety requirements did we transition her to the crib.

The inflatable tub. When our daughter was about 7 months old, she discovered that by throwing herself forward in her baby tub, it would flip up and she along with the water would go flying across the tub. Great fun for her, heart attack for Mom. Solution, the inflatable tub. It sits securely in the tub and she thinks she is in a swimming pool. It is non-tippable and drains easy. Also, by putting bath toys in there, baby is distracted enough, most of the time, to try and not climb out of the tub.

And finally, Sweat pants. Yes, I know, there are all sorts of cute clothing out there for kids. Lots of bows and ruffles and skirts that make her look oh so cute. But for the reality of the situation, pants are by far my favorites. They keep your baby warm throughout the year, are easier to manage when putting your child in the car seat or bouncer, you don’t have to worry about the skirt riding up and showing off the diaper and when your bundle of joy discovers crawling, it will save their little knees. Nothing is more pathetic then seeing little rug burns on your 9 month olds knees.

Raising Creative Babies

It is never too early to bring out the creativity of your baby. Some parents start while their babies are still in the womb by reading to them or playing music. But you can increase your baby’s exposure by simply creating the correct environment. Let us start with something simple like choosing the correct baby clothes and baby accessories for your little one. It helps a lot if the different baby clothes and baby accessories have themes that can help you build the creativity of your baby. This way no matter what your baby is doing you can use the situation to spark their imagination. Here are some ways where you can use a regular event to boost the creativity of your baby.

1. Dress Up Time

When you buy baby clothes you have a choice of choosing the simple ones or ones that can spark the imagination of your baby. For example you can choose baby clothes with cute drawings so you can use it to tell your babies stories. Better yet you can dress your little baby up in special themed baby clothes and create an adventure especially for them. Let them experience farm life in an adorable cow outfit or what it’s like to roam the meadows as an adorable little rabbit. As your baby grows older then maybe they can start choosing which themed baby clothes they would want to wear and start creating an adventure all on their own.

2. Mealtime

Mealtime is a good time to let their imagination take over. There are a variety of baby accessories you can get like utensils and baby bibs that you can use to make mealtime more fun. Build up your baby accessories, get a variety of baby bibs and let them explore a whole new world. One day your little girl can be a beautiful flower that is visited by bees and butterfly and lady bugs. Your little boy can be a fireman one day or a pilot the next. Other baby accessories you can use are place mats and cups

3. Bathtime

Bath time is another ideal time to let your baby’s imagination run wild. There is a whole collection of baby accessories that you can use like themed wash cloths and bath toys to create a whole other world for them. Let them sail the sea in search of the great white whale and let them encounter different types of sea life. Extend their bath time fun with other baby accessories like themed bath towels. Wrap them up in a whale towel after their undersea adventure and let them “swim around” like a whale before dressing them up.

You can get a variety of ideas from the baby clothes and baby accessories you provide for your baby but you are not limited to them. Just remember to grab every opportunity you get to create new and fun worlds for your baby and eventually your baby will learn how to create these worlds for himself or herself.
